What is Brave?
Brave Global Canada is a catalytic movement whose aim is to educate and empower girls that come from vulnerable situations, with hopes to engage them before they become victims of sexual exploitation and trafficking.
We invite individuals to partner with BRAVE to reach at-risk youth, to show them we see them, they matter, and we are with them.
WHAT WE DO
Brave Circles
Brave Circles is small-group mentoring session that meets weekly with the girls whom have been a part of our Brave Events. The material we use is centered around a Brave interactive journal. These journals are themed around identity, healthy relationships, boundaries, and mental wellness. Brave Circles enables the girls to remain connected with the Brave program after the Brave Events.

Every Friday, 4:30-6pm
For Girls Grade 6 & Above
Brave Events
A Brave Event is a day for girls to experience a life-changing day just for them. This empowerment event is structured to deliver a message of hope, love, value, and purpose. We have guest speakers, visual artists, dancers, self-defense experts, spoken word poets, and community leaders, who have walked through their own adversity and can clearly demonstrate that there is hope and that things can change.
Each Brave Event also features a whole host of community volunteers that help each and every attendee feel special and loved.

Julianne Ritson
Julianne started Brave circles alongside Erika-Shaye in Burnaby September 2022.
Julianne loves cooking, coffee, long walks and biking.
She joined our team back in February of 2021 and has been committed to growing the program since.
